Job Summary

Provide superior service from a restaurant perspective and excellence within the nightlight element. Maintain consistency in service and offer kindness, character, and charisma to our patrons. Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with company standards. Provide efficient customer service by guiding guests through menus, suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts.

Essential Job Functions

  • Check customer identification
  • Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons
  • Describe and recommend wines to customers
  • Create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
  • Slice fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
  • Set up stations and perform assigned side work
  • Provide immediate attention to all guest upon seating
  • Take guests’ orders; suggestively sell food and beverage items
  • Place orders using POS system
  • Verify accuracy of prices on all checks
  • Present the bill, collect payment, and make change in a timely and accurate manner
  • Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
  • Consistently follows local and state laws and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extroverted personality
  • Ability to verify validity State-issued IDs
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Math
  • Strong Verbal Communication
  • Able to operate blenders, frozen drink machines and other bar equipment

Education, Experience, Certifications, and Licenses

  • Must be at least 22 years old
  • ServSafe certification a plus
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced bar environment
  • RAMP Certification a plus

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Stand during entire shift
  • Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off floor
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 40lbs
